I'm a part one architect interested in alternative vernacular and sustainable design. I have a year's experience with a small conservation practice in the Peak District (James Boon Architects) - with practice in surveying, planning documents, drawing, and client correspondence.

Arraigado

“Deeply Rooted”

Concept

Arraigado, or “deeply rooted” refers to the concept behind this intervention for 2050, where continuous social and economic change within Seville has began to push people out into the boundaries of society. Following local studies into the institutional violence in the Sevillian homeless community, key factors in future thinking design talked of centralising resources for the increasingly vulnerable user base. The site sits within a historical 13th century Moorish fortification, and aims to re-root the at risk homeless stakeholders into local society through support work, trade, craft, food, and lodging.
