Hybrid typology solution to the loss of food culture in Sevilla for 2050

A side effect of temperatures increasing globally is the loss of food culture as crops fail to grow and humans turn towards unconventional nutrition sources. The practice of eating together socially is shattered as a result, impacting the culture and traditions observed daily in Sevilla.

Raíz Cero offers the opportunity to reverse the situation through a hybrid typology building. It features a GMO lab for future crop cultivation, a hydroponic farm that supplies the food museum which offers taster plates of culturally symbolic dishes, and an open rooftop restaurant. The building reflects the growth of plants and has a designated tour that visitors follow.
